Office of Diversity and Community Engagement Update
The Office of Diversity and Community Engagement hosted the annual STEM NOLA orientation
for high school students across the New Orleans area on September 5th, 2024. STEM
NOLA's sole purpose is to expose, engage and inspire future innovators, makers and
entrepreneurs through STEM-based activities and opportunities in the fields of Science,
Technology, Engineering and Math. Since Dr. Calvin Mackie created STEM NOLA in 2013,
it has engaged more than 125,000 students.
