Deja Holmes: PREP Scholar and Artist
Deja Holmes is a Postbaccalaureate Research Education Program (PREP) in Biomedical
Sciences Scholar currently working in the department of physiology. She recently won
the best basic sciences award for her poster presentation at NHSN 2024. Holmes plans to pursue a career in academic biomedical research and is a talented
poet and avid painter.
When Associate Professor of Physiology Dr. Liz Simon Peter wanted to highlight someone in the department’s newsletter, she turned to Holmes, who without hesitation created The Erlenmeyer Flask, seen below.
