2024 Fall Commencement Ceremony Held
On Wednesday, December 11, 2024, 126 students graduated from four of LSU Health New Orleans’ six professional health schools. The graduation ceremony took place at 10 am at the UNO Lakefront Arena. Graduates included students from LSU Health’s Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Graduate Studies and Public Health.
Dr. Steve Nelson, LSU Health New Orleans Chancellor, presided over the ceremony, joined by LSU Board of Supervisors member Rémy Starns who conferred degrees, and Dr. James Caillier who delivered the Commencement Address. The Invocation was given by Doctor of Medicine candidate, Lauren Bagneris. Jaden Renee’ Pearley, Bachelor of Science in Nursing candidate, gave the Benediction. The gonfaloniers were Molly Reece Brown, Bachelor of Science in Nursing candidate; Tyler Prusisz, Doctor of Philosophy candidate; Thomas Reed Kyllo Doctor of Philosophy candidate; and Illona Sarah Brumfield, Doctor of Medicine candidate.
The School of Medicine announced the following graduates: Hanna Almoaswes, Lauren Elizabeth Bagneris, Illona Sarah Brumfield, Christine Omorotionmwan Edomwande, Alyssa Catherine Fowler, Tommy Giang, Meredith Hayes, Andrew Gia-Bao Hoang, Ryan Glen Kreider, Margaret Grace Mena, Robert Charles Mipro, III, and Holly Rene Monk.
The School of Graduate Studies announced the following graduates: Ashley Sarah Henderson, Hannah Leigh Jarrell, Thomas Reed Kyllo, Kristina Farragut Larter, Oygul Mirzalieva, Tamara Morris, Hayley Nicole Ulloa, and Ashley Nicole Winters.
