CTRC Core Laboratory Opens 

Drs. DiCarlo and Nelson cut ribbonThe LSU Health Sciences Center Clinical and Translational Research Center (CTRC) held their Core Laboratory grand opening on March 15, 2024. The event served as an open house for the core lab, which has recently undergone a relocation and update of lab equipment. 

Services now provided in the lab include low and high complexity processing, -80° C storage of biological specimens, and ambient and frozen packaging and shipping. The CTRC continues to be a component of the Clinical Research Core of the Louisiana Clinical and Translational Science Center (LACaTS). All LSU investigators or their affiliates conducting an Institutional Review Board (IRB)-approved research project can utilize core lab and other services provided in the CTRC on a fee-for-service basis.
