What is JoVE Research?
JoVE Research is a library of videos showcasing scientific research across multiple
disciplines.
How do researchers use JoVE?
JoVE is a valuable tool for researchers as it brings to life the intricate details
of cutting-edge experiments, essential techniques, and gold standard protocols, which
enables efficient learning and replication of new research methods and technologies.
They publish more than 100 new videos each month.
How do instructors use JoVE?
JoVE is an effective tool for teaching scientific concepts and laboratory methods
in undergraduate and graduate courses at universities and colleges. The videos enable
quick in-depth comprehension of complex STEM subject and increase student engagement
and learning outcomes. Instructors can access the Faculty Resource Center for useful guides for integrating JoVE into their curriculum.
To access the JoVE Research Collection, please visit the Library’s Database page.
Keep in mind that access is for LSUHSC-New Orleans students, faculty, residents, and
staff. Users will need to authenticate through one of our remote access systems. Sharing
links to videos (through Moodle for example) will require a special URL structure
to facilitate authentication. For more information on off-campus access or for help
with URLs, contact a collection development team member via email at LibraryTech@lsuhsc.edu or visit our Off-Campus Access web page.
