Family Day Returns to Campus
Thomas Luke, MD-MPH Candidate, Class of 2024
SGA Executive Vice President
Family Day for the School of Medicine came back after a three-and-a-half-year hiatus. The school had not held this event since the pandemic, so students were excited to bring it back with a new format. This year’s Family Day was held on the morning of April 1st. We had about 500 guests present, enjoying their time with family, friends, and classmates. The event hosted a social gathering in our brand-new Center for Advanced Learning and Simulation (CALS) Building, tours of the medical school, interactive use of our simulation tools/procedure rooms, and a talk lead by our Dean of Student Affairs about the “Life of a Medical Student.”
