Student Achievements
The Gold Humanism Honor Society recently awarded Students of the Semester for the Fall of 2022 to the following individuals for their noteworthy interactions with peers, patients, and the community. Representatives from the honor society noted that these recipients embody the GHHS pillars of respect, integrity, service, and empathy:

Physiology
MD/PhD student Brianna Bourgeois dominated Graduate Research Day 2022 and was given awards for the best recorded and
live talks.
MD/PhD students Eden Gallegos and Taylor Fitzpatrick-Schmidt were awarded Outstanding Young Scientist Travel Awards from the Southern Louisiana Chapter of the Association for Women in Science.
PhD student Taylor Templeton-Jager presented Bupropion dose dependently decreases long-access cocaine self-administration in male and female rats at the ADACE December 2022 Retreat. Taylor Templeton-Jager also gave a lecture to the Department of Neuroscience, Tulane University “Sex and Gender Differences in Drug Use.”
