Promotions Workshops
March 3, 2023 at noon (for business managers/administrative staff)
March 8, 2023 at 7:30 am (for faculty)
March 9, 2023 at 4:30 pm (for faculty)
Promotions workshops will be held via Zoom and are geared toward faculty who plan on seeking promotion in the next few years but are open to all faculty. Topics will include the steps and timeline of the promotion process, the criteria for promotion, a detailed review of the LSU School of Medicine CV, and a brief review of other materials needed (letters of recommendation, promotion and tenure form, personal statement or educator portfolio). This is a time to ask questions about the process and criteria, as well as to ask specific questions about CVs. A member of the School of Medicine Appointment and Promotions Committee joins each workshop to provide the committee’s perspective.
Each workshop will cover the same material (they are not a series) and should only last about 90 minutes, although two hours have been set aside to ensure all questions can be answered.
Register for a workshop at the appropriate survey monkey link below. You will receive a reminder prior to the meeting that will contain the zoom link and materials for download. You may register for more than one workshop if you are unsure of which one you will be able to attend.
