This issue of The Pulse feels momentous in that it is our first edition in the last 12 months that is not dominated by COVID news. There is still plenty of news related to COVID, and COVID is still woven within many of the articles themselves, but at least for this issue, there is a noticeable shift.
Dr. Timothy Fair is the Center's new Vice Chancellor for Diversity and Inclusion. He is working to meet with as many people as possible, but if you haven't had the chance to meet him yet, check out The Dean's Corner.
Our librarians are a wealth of information and always generously share their knowledge. This issue is no exception - they have plenty of tips to increase the visibility and usage of your research in Words from the Library.
I also had the opportunity to spend some time with Dr. Wayne Backes, Associate Dean for Research. Be sure to check out In the Spotlight to make sure you are aware of all the resources and services his office provides.
Finally, do yourself a favor and make sure to check out Funk! You will be amazed at artistic talents of our students and I guarantee you will have a smile on your face after you watch their video.
