Target Audience:

The primary target audience for this CME activity is faculty, residents, students, invited guests and other healthcare professionals practicing in the LSU Health System, LSU affiliated hospitals and communities within the State of Louisiana for whom this is within the current or potential scope of professional activities. The purpose of this activity is to promote improvements in healthcare in Louisiana.

activity Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this activity, the learner should be better able to:

• Develop comprehensive, evidence-based surgical  management plans for patients with solid organ and soft tissue malignancies through multidisciplinary collaboration.
  
  

• Interpret and integrate radiologic, pathologic, and molecular diagnostic data to support accurate oncologic staging and guide surgical decision-making.

• Apply current clinical guidelines and emerging research findings to inform the timing, approach, and extent of surgical intervention in cancer care.

• Evaluate surgical candidacy and operative risk by considering tumor biology, patient comorbidities, and response to neoadjuvant therapies.

• Enhance interdisciplinary communication and coordination with oncology, radiology, pathology, and other specialties to improve perioperative and longitudinal outcomes in cancer patients.
