are required to complete at least three hours of Board PRE-APPROVED continuing medical
education (CME) prior to their first renewal.

- Going into effect June 2023, the MATE Act requires DEA registered physicians to complete
a one-time, eight-hour training requirement on treating and managing patients with
opioid or other substance use disorders.
