Caitlyn Gallaspy won the Gold Humanism Honor Society’s Humanism in Medicine essay contest with her essay The Fruits of Our Labor. Alexandra Chimento won second place with the essay The Pumpkin on the Perch, and Kim Tran won third place with the essay God Bless You. Gallaspy received a monetary award from the School of Medicine and the honor of reading her essay at the Class of 2025’s GHHS Induction Ceremony as well as to the new first year class at their White Coat Ceremony.

Pediatric Clerkship leaders Leslie Reilly, Amy Prudhomme, and Callie Roth hosted a 4th year medical student bootcamp. Students learned procedures and participated in workshops on handoffs, informed consent, how to admit and discharge a patient, how to triage/identify patients that are sick or not sick, and how to call a consult.
