Tiger Bites – Earn CME Credit During Your Commute
The Committee on Faculty Development and Evaluation has created Tiger Bites, a podcast designed for School of Medicine faculty that covers a variety of topics including the P&T process, building a CV, how to give a grand rounds, how to lead, navigating crucial conversations, and many other topics identified through the faculty needs assessment.
The committee partnered with the Office of Medical Education to enable CME credit for listening to the podcast and answering a short questionnaire. After listening to a podcast, faculty can complete the brief evaluation at the end of the webpage to earn CME credits.
This month we are highlighting an episode that features Dr. Amy Creel, Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, who breaks down the nuances of professional identity formation to help listeners think more clearly about finding a sense of belonging, purpose and passion in their work.
Michelle Moore, PsyD and Jay Mussell, PhD spearheaded the effort to create the podcast. Laura Bell from the Office of Medical Education has been instrumental in ensuring CME credits can be earned. The Tiger Bites Team shared, "Our goal in creating these podcasts is to bring our LSUHSC community together with small bites of learning. They are designed to be the length of a typical commute around the New Orleans area and intentionally short and easy to digest. We hope you enjoy listening to them as much as we enjoyed creating them. If you would like to hear more, please share your ideas with us at somfacultydevelopment@lsuhsc.edu."
