LSU Integrated Musculoskeletal Biobank (LIMB)
LIMB collects and stores human musculoskeletal tissues for research which focuses on preventing musculoskeletal disease progression, improving surgical outcomes, and addressing disparities of care in orthopedics.
Dr. Luis Marrero's Lab
Dr. Marrero is looking into differences in the underlying molecular mechanisms that drive fibrosis during joint disease and following the trauma of joint replacement surgery between local subgroups of patients affected by osteoarthritis.
The Morphology and Imaging Core (MIC)
The purpose of the core is to assist investigators requiring detection, imaging, and morphometric analysis of gene and protein expression in any type of cell or tissue in vitro and in vivo.
