2. Execution of confidential agreement (CDA)
   
   
3. Protocol development or receipt of protocol from cooperative group or industry sponsor
   
   
4. Protocol discussion and approval at the specific disease site or tumor site program or division
   
   
5. Submission and approval by Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee (PRMC)
   
   
6. Submission and approval by internal and the external IRB, if applicable
   
   
7. Contract, legal, and budgeting by LSUHSC
   
   

8. Subcontract agreement and approval by UMC
   
   

9. Final approval by LSUHSC Chancellor’s office
