Psychiatry Department Rocks the LPMA-MPA Conference

The Louisiana- Mississippi Psychiatric Associations' Regional Conference was held recently at the NOPSI Hotel.
Congratulations to Drs. Verret, Wilson, and Wear on their 1st-place poster, “Suicidality and The Role of a School-Based Mental Health Clinic.” Congratulations also go to Dr. Mackintosh and student doctor Elizabeth Forgey for their 1st-place win for “Psychiatric Management in a Case of Anti-NMDA Receptor Encephalitis” in the Case Report contest. The psychiatry department had the strongest showing from any of the Louisiana and Mississippi programs. Department faculty led a number of workshops and also were elected to various leadership positions in the organization:
