Message from the Program Director
I am pleased to announce the first Obesity Medicine fellowship in the great state of Louisiana. Having one of the highest rates for obesity and diabetes in our country provides immense opportunities for us as health care providers and scientific researchers to help those afflicted by this present epidemic.
This partnership with Louisiana State University Health Sciences in New Orleans and the Pennington Biomedical Research Center in Baton Rouge will provide the needed resources in the areas of basic science and academics while our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center acts as our clinical base of operations.
The fellowship will start in the summer of 2025 and will allow for a broad learning experience that includes all facets of Obesity Medical management. In our traditions of service and excellence we will strive to make a difference so that our communities will have the resources and support to lead healthy and productive lives.
With warmest regards,
Robert L. Dubin, MD, FACP, FACE, ABOM
