The Surgery Interest Group hosts a number of private suture clinics for members throughout the year.  These clinics are organized by the SIG officers and taught by residents from the department of surgery at LSU.  We are the only group that uses fresh, UNEMBALMED human cadavers for these labs, so that our members can have the experience of learning to suture on fresh flesh.  This is very unusual and a great benefit of SIG membership.  Spaces are limited in the clinics and prior reservations are usually required.  Members, watch your e-mail closely for the times and dates of our next private suture clinics.
