The purpose of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Interest Group (CTSIG) is to expose students to the exciting and continuously changing field of cardiothoracic surgery. Activities will include presentations from cardiothoracic surgeons, Q and A sessions with a panel of cardiothoracic surgery residents, and wet labs for suturing, reading EKGs, and knot typing. It is our goal that CTSIG will offer networking, mentoring, and shadowing opportunities for students who are interested in learning more about this extraordinary field of medicine.
