Welcome to the LSU Pulmonary and Critical Care Fellowship!
Our fellowship program was established more than 40 years ago at Charity Hospital in New Orleans and one decade later merged with the Ochsner fellowship program. For nearly 30 years our program has thrived as a combined effort of LSU Health Sciences Center and Ochsner Health System. Our two main training sites are University Medical Center New Orleans, the flagship hospital of the LCMC Health System, across the street from the LSU School of Medicine, and Ochsner Medical Center, the quaternary care flagship hospital of Ochsner Health System, overlooking the Mississippi River.
Our fellowship program has 14 ACGME approved positions and attracts outstanding young physicians from across the country to train in New Orleans. We prepare our fellows to pursue their passions and support their growth into superb clinicians, educators, and/or researchers. We are known for the esprit de corps of our fellows, for our outstanding faculty, for our engaging Thursday afternoon conferences, and for clinical excellence. LSU pulmonary/critical care fellows are highly respected at our training sites and set the standard for professionalism.
We are proud of our fellowship program, our current fellows, and our more than 100 graduates.
