Dr. Walvekar hosts Salivary Endoscopy Courses
LSU Otolaryngology is excited to announce Dr. Walvekar will be hosting a two-part sialendoscopy series with CSurgeries.
Beginning Salivary Endoscopy: Office and OR Management :
February 26th, 10 am - 12 pm EST ( 9am - 11 am CST)
The basic course/webinar will give cover surgical anatomy relevant to salivary endoscopy, will discuss indications for the procedure, discuss the evaluation of the patient and surgical workup including a decision-making process, and will review a variety of instrumentation, set up, as well as how to perform a diagnostic procedure, as well as basic interventions. There will also be a Q&A session that will speak to the challenges of starting a sialendoscopy service, billing, and case presentations.
Advanced Salivary Endoscopy: Challenging Cases Diagnosis & Treatment:
March 19th 10 am- 12 pm EST (9am-11 am CST)
The advanced course will assume a basic understanding of the procedure. It will include complex interventions including endoscopic and combined open (transoral and external procedures), complications and management of complications, approach to revision surgery, in-office procedures, advanced radiology, and will include case studies.
