Dr. Adkins to Give Talk with New Orleans Opera
>Community Conversation: Health Equity and the Arts
In conjunction with Puccini's La bohème return to New Orleans, Dr. Lacey K. Adkins will be joining other panelists to give a talk addressing health equity for artists in the Greater New Orleans area. La bohème centers on the lives of artists living a bohemian lifestyle in Paris during the 19th century. With the prominent themes of love, loss, poverty, and illness in the artistic community, there are many parallels to the current challenges people in the New Orleans community face, especially challenges related to healthcare.
