WIM organizes approximately 2-3 community service projects per semester. If you are interested in participating in any of the following, please contact Nisha Loganantharaj(nlogan@lsuhsc.edu), the Community Service Chair.

Community Service Project

In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Women in Medicine participates in the Susan G. Komen Foundation “Race for the Cure” to benefit breast cancer research, treatment, and education programs throughout the nation.   Student volunteers provide blood pressure screenings for race participants.  It’s always a huge success!
