Women's & Breast Imaging Fellowship
The Department of Radiology at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans offers a fully-funded one-year fellowship position in Women's Imaging. Fellow will receive training in all aspects of Breast Imaging and Intervention including:
- Mammography, screening and diagnostic (encompassing digital tomosynthesis)
- Ultrasound, including US-guided procedures
- Breast MRI, including MRI-guided procedures
- Stereotactic-guided biopsies
- Localizations, Magnetic Seed and Wire
Fellows also receive training in body imaging with an emphasis in Women's Imaging including CT, PET/CT, and MRI. Didactic lectures, dedicated elective and research time is provided to both enrich and tailor the learning experience. Fellows will participate in biweekly multidisciplinary conference, including breast tumor board, gynecologic oncology conference, and radiology pathology concordance conference, providing a comprehensive approach to breast and women's care. Fellows will participate directly in educating both residents and medical students as well as managing consultations from referring physicians.
