Tiger Scholars Undergraduate (Pre-Med) Academic Enrichment Program;

Tiger Scholars is a free, five-week, non-residential, academic enrichment program for up to 20 pre-medical, undergraduate juniors and seniors. The scholars participate in mini-courses in biochemistry, anatomy, physiology, genetics and public health. Additionally, the program includes workshops focused on leadership development, clinical experiences, cultural competency, financial literacy, and preparation for entrance exams to professional schools, such as the MCAT and GRE.  Please use this link to apply:

Application process dates: Friday, November 1, 2026 through Monday, March 31, 2026

1. Current attendance at a Louisiana undergraduate institution or LA resident who attends an out-of-state undergraduate institution 
2. GPA of 3.0
3. Academic classification, junior or senior
4. Has earned academic credits in organic chemistry and physics

Required Documents:

1. Copy of Driver's License/U.S. Government-issued identification card

2. Copy of Social Secuirity card

3. Copy of current immunization records

4. Two to three recommendations from current professors, two must be from a current science and/or math professor

5. Personal statement communicating how this particular program will play an important role in pursuing medical.
