State Opioid Response Grant
In 2018, the Louisiana Department of Health was awarded a State Opioid Response grant from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). The grant was among the more than $1 billion in opioid-specific grants SAMHSA awarded nationally at the time.

Collaborated with LSUHSC
The mission of the Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans (LSUHSC-NO) is to provide education, research, and public service through direct patient care and community outreach. LSUHSC-NO comprises the Schools of Allied Health Professions, Dentistry, Graduate Studies, Medicine, Nursing, and Public Health.

The LaSOR Project
The focus of the LaSOR Project was to expand the availability of Medications for Opioid
Use Disorder (MOUD) treatment throughout the state, divided into 10 regions.
