Catholic Student Association (CSA)

The CSA highlights the multi-faceted persona of a medical student. Through meetings and discussions, CSA explores medical topics in the light of Catholic teaching. CSA also seeks to unveil the rich Catholic culture in New Orleans, a place that is home to the second oldest diocese in the United States. CSA members participate in interest group meetings with Catholic medical and religious guest speakers, Bible studies, and service events through Catholic Charities and other local ministries. CSA members are invited to an annual dinner at the Archbishop's residence in the fall and White Coat Mass in the spring. Members also participate in pre-test prayers before all exams, and are invited to pray the rosary and attend daily mass together weekly. CSA strives to enliven our students to learn more about their faith and grow closer to God. All students are welcome to attend, regardless of religious affiliation.
