Community Hospital Experience
- The community hospital experience takes place at Our Lady of the Lake Children's Hospital, located in Baton Rouge (~1 hour away).
- The community hospital rotation is four weeks long, broken up into 1-2 week experiences at a time. Local housing is available if needed.
- Fellows work with residents and board-certified pediatric hospitalist faculty on a busy inpatient service.
NICU and Newborn Nursery
- NICU and newborn nursery experiences are completed just down the street at Touro Infirmary. Fellows are supervised by LSU Neonatology and General Pediatrics faculty.
Electives

Electives are tailored to each fellow's individual career and learning goals. Many senior fellows opt to complete additional PHM rotations, and there are plenty of other available options!
