Bio

Dr. Nazir joined Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – New Orleans in September 2023 as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology. She also serves as a surgical pathologist, hematopathologist, and Director of the Molecular Laboratory at University Medical Center – New Orleans. As an expert in hematopathology, she provides consultations to other pathologists on complex hematopathology cases, and assists the hematology/oncology service clinicians and surgical services to resolve issues in hematopathology and surgical pathology. She also provides technical oversight for the molecular laboratory. In addition to her clinical duties, she supervises residents, fellows and other healthcare professionals in the area of Pathology. Dr. Nazir is a member of the College of American Pathologists and the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
