Bio
Dr. Jetly has over 15 years of Clinical Pathology experience. She serves LSU Health Sciences Center-New Orleans as the William A. Rock, Jr. Endowed Professor, Vice Chair of the Pathology department, a Professor of Clinical Pathology, and a Consultant Pathologist for the Louisiana Tumor Registry. She also serves as the Director of the Hematology, Flow Cytometry and Electrophoresis Laboratories at the University Medical Center-New Orleans where she supervises operations and service of these laboratories. In addition to her clinical responsibilities in Hematopathology and Surgical Pathology, Dr. Jetly serves as the Director of the Hematopathology rotation for the LSUHSC-NO Pathology residents and the Hematology/Oncology fellows and has been instrumental in developing the bi-weekly Hematopathology clinico-pathological conferences to complement their training. In addition, Dr. Jetly has created interesting Hematopathology case slide-sets which serve as self-learning tools for the Pathology trainees. She has also developed the month-end resident driven didactic conferences that focus on a benign and malignant Hematopathology topic, and the saved electronic versions of these conferences assist in Pathology residents' board review preparations. Dr. Jetly implemented and is the editor for an educational "Case of the Month" series on the Pathology department website where our residents and faculty present interesting cases with discussions on the topic and its differential diagnoses, and this educational resource is available to both internal and external medical professionals. She also serves as the Director of the Hematology Block for LSUHSC-NO L2 medical students and is an advisor for the LSUHSC-NO medical technology program.
Dr. Jetly is a fellow of the College of American Pathologists and American Society
of Clinical Pathology, and a member of the American Society of Hematology. She is
a member of the Copping Teaching Award Nomination Committee, Curriculum Development
Committee, L1 and L2 Students Promotion Committee, and Internal Funding Review Panel
Committee within the LSUHSC-NO School of Medicine, chairperson for the Clinical Competency
Committee and a member of the Program Evaluation Committee within the LSUHSC-NO Pathology
