Bio

Dr. Fu joined Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center – New Orleans in November 2022 and currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology and as a Gastrointestinal Pathologist at University Medical Center – New Orleans. As an expert in GI pathology, she provides consultations to other pathologists on complex GI cases and functions as the laboratory liaison to clinicians and the GI internal medicine service and surgical services to resolve issues in gastrointestinal surgical pathology as well as addressing general clinical laboratory concerns. She also supervises residents, fellows and other healthcare professionals in the areas of surgical pathology and gastrointestinal pathology. In addition to her clinical duties, Dr. Fu teaches several pathology courses to second-year medical students in the L2 curriculum. She is a member of the United States and Canadian Academy of Pathology, American Society for Clinical Pathology, and Chinese American Pathologist Association.
