Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery

Dr. Alyssa Ovaitt is a Double Board-Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon serving patients in Baton Rouge. She brings advanced training and compassionate care to patients seeking both reconstructive and cosmetic procedures for the face and neck.

Dr. Ovaitt completed her medical education at the University of Missouri-Columbia and went on to specialize in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB). She then pursued fellowship training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the University of Kansas Medical Center, where she gained expertise in treating facial trauma, skin cancer reconstruction, nasal surgery, and aesthetic procedures.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery and the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Ovaitt is dedicated to teaching medical students and residents at LSU Health Sciences Center. She has special interests in medical ethics as well as helping patients restore both function and confidence after trauma, skin cancer removal, or surgery.
