Ben Lousteau Named as Associate Dean for Fiscal Affairs

We are pleased to announce that Ben Lousteau, MBA has agreed to serve as the Associate Dean for Fiscal Affairs in the School of Medicine. Mr. Lousteau received his MBA from the University of New Orleans with a concentration in Health Care Management. He worked in human resources and government relations prior to his employment at LSUHSC. He has served the school since 1997, rising through the ranks as an office coordinator, assistant business manager and fiscal analyst before becoming Executive Director of Fiscal Operations for the Dean’s Office in 2015. Mr. Lousteau has tremendous knowledge of all aspects of the school’s financial and administrative operations. He has worked extensively with the LSU Healthcare Network, the LSU Health Foundation and the School of Medicine Alumni Association. He has knowledge and experience in contract negotiation with our clinical partners, the university’s financial processes and budget file system, and he developed a data warehouse used to generate financial reports for the school. Mr. Lousteau is well known in LSUHSC and in the LSU Systems Office for his hard work and dedication.

We are fortunate that Mr. Lousteau has ably served the school and LSUHSC for many years. He has a deep understanding of the unique challenges that the school will face in the future, and we are grateful that he will continue to serve in this important position.
