LCME Accreditation

The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) is the accrediting body for the medical education programs that lead to the MD Degree in the United States.  Accreditation is a voluntary, peer-reviewed process of quality assurance that determines whether the medical education program meets established standards while fostering institutional and programmatic improvement.  Institutions achieve and maintain accreditation by meeting LCME accreditation standards.
