Bioinformatics and Computational Medicine Program

Education and Training

Data StreamThe program provides researchers and graduate students with training and use of bioinformatics tools and genomic resources to conduct original research to enhance basic, population, clinical and translational research at LSUHSC and beyond to improve human health and eliminate health disparities. Key to this effort is the interdisciplinary workshop in bioinformatics and genomics held biweekly and an interdisciplinary course in bioinformatics and genomics currently under development. The long-term goals is to develop a total package for graduate program in bioinformatics and genomics currently under development.
