Lindsey Poe-Martin, PsyD (George Washington University, Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology; 2014, Post-Doctoral Fellow, Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center): Dr. Poe is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry and previously served as Director of Psychology Postdoctoral Fellowship at LSUHSC from 2019-2023. Clinically, Dr. Poe is the Bariatric Behavioral Health Program Director at UMCNO's Center for Weight Loss and Bariatric Surgery and she is one of the lead psychologists for Psychiatric Inpatient Services at UMCNO. Dr. Poe conducts psychiatric clearance evaluations, targeted pre operative intervention, post operative follow up, and engages in programmatic development within the bariatric clinic. At UMCNO Inpatient Services, Dr. Poe specializes in group psychotherapy and brief psychological assessment. Her clinical and research interests include psychodynamic case conceptualization, severe and persistent mental illness, the effects of physical health on mental wellness, and the impact of health literacy on healthcare disparities.
