Dr. Leslie Reilly is a distinguished physician and educator with a profound impact
on pediatric medical education. As the Director for the Fourth Year Medical Student
Pediatric Clerkship, Dr. Reilly plays a pivotal role in shaping the educational experience
of future pediatricians, guiding them through their critical final year of medical
training. This has led to the development of a "M4 Chief" role, a leadership position
that bridges senior medical students’ transition from students to mentors and educators.
This role is helpful in preparing them for their future responsibilities in the medical
field and increasing near peer mentorship in medical training.
In addition to this role, Dr. Reilly is the lead developer of the Night Float Curriculum
Interactive Modules, an innovative initiative designed to enhance the learning experience
for pediatric residents on their night shifts. This work underscores Dr. Reilly’s
commitment to improving medical education through practical and interactive tools.
As an Attending Physician in Pediatric Hospital Medicine, she not only delivers exceptional
patient care but also serves as a mentor and educator to medical students, pediatric
residents, and pediatric hospital medicine fellows. Dr. Reilly’s mentorship extends
beyond clinical practice, guiding these learners through their professional development
and helping shape their future careers in pediatrics. Through these diverse roles,
Dr. Reilly continues to influence and inspire both students, residents, fellows, and
colleagues in the field of pediatric hospital medicine.
