Dr. Staci Olister is presently a Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division
of Neonatology at LSU Health Sciences Center where she has been faculty since 1997.
She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of New Orleans and her medical
degree from LSUHSC. She completed both her LSU Pediatrics residency and LSU-Tulane
Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship training in New Orleans.
She is certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics
and is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Dr. Olister’s administrative roles include Medical Director of Neonatal Services for
Touro and she serves as the neonatal faculty for the Louisiana Perinatal Quality Collaborative.
In addition to her clinical, academic and administrative roles, Dr. Olister works
to provide appropriate neurodevelopmental care for infants and their families and
earned a certificate in Trauma Informed Care.
Dr. Olister remains committed to her career in neonatology because of its complexity
which demands ongoing education, the opportunity to work with and learn from many
subspecialists at CHNOLA and the ability to contribute to improved outcomes for neonates
and their families.
