Dr. Richelle Monier is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division
of Critical Care at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center. She has been
a pediatric intensive care physician since 2001 and currently provides pediatric critical
care services at Children's Hospital, New Orleans. Dr. Monier is a native of Metairie,
Louisiana and earned her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Zoology from
Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge. She earned her medical degree from Louisiana
State University Health Science Center in New Orleans, where she was a member of Alpha
Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. She completed her Pediatrics residency and Pediatric
Critical Care fellowship training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center
in Memphis. She is certified in both General Pediatrics and Pediatric Critical Care
Medicine by the American Board of Pediatrics. She serves as the LSU AHA training center
faculty for Pediatric Advanced Life Support and is the faculty facilitator for the
Mock Code and simulation programs at Children's Hospital New Orleans.
