Dr. Peter Joslyn is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics, Division
of Neonatology. He completed his undergraduate studies at Duke University and attended
medical school at LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Following his Pediatrics
residency at UT Southwestern in Dallas, Dr. Joslyn completed a Neonatal-Perinatal
Fellowship at LSUHSC New Orleans.
Dr. Joslyn has been recognized for his contributions to medical education and research.
In 2020, he received the LSUHSC Department of Pediatrics Fellow Teaching Award. In
2021, he was honored with the Best Oral Presentation Award at the LSUHSC Quality Improvement
and Patient Safety Forum. He has authored or co-authored 10 manuscripts published
in peer-reviewed journals and written several pediatric-themed blog posts. Additionally,
he serves as an ad hoc reviewer for multiple pediatric journals.
Dr. Joslyn facilitates team-based learning exercises for first-year medical students
at LSUHSC as well as an instructor for the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. He is also
a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Currently, Dr. Joslyn is the co-editor of the SOAP Notes Blog, published by the American
Academy of Pediatrics Section on Early Career Physicians.
