Bio
Dr. Evers completed both his Pediatrics Residency and Neonatology Fellowship in our
department. He also completed an Infant Complex Care Fellowship at Duke University.
Dr. Evers has distinguished himself through an impressive record of scholarly activity
during both residency and fellowship, with research interests centered on neonatal
neurodevelopment, quality improvement, and the care of medically complex infants.
His work has resulted in numerous presentations and research projects aimed at improving
outcomes for vulnerable newborns and supporting their transition from the NICU to
home.
In his new role, he will lead the development of a Complex Care Outpatient Clinic
dedicated to supporting premature infants and other high-risk newborns as they transition
from the NICU to home, ensuring comprehensive, coordinated care that promotes optimal
growth, development, and family support. After many years as a trainee, we are excited
to welcome Dr. Evers to our faculty and look forward to the many contributions he
will make to our patients, families, trainees, and institution.
