Bio
Shreya Madhavaram was born in Hyderabad, India, grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and
has lived all over the United States. She attended college at the University of Iowa,
where she nearly became a poet before settling on medicine. She attended medical school
at the Kasturba Medical College campus of the University of Antigua in Manipal, India.
She completed her internal medicine residency and chief year at Tufts University -
MetroWest Medical Center and her rheumatology fellowship at the University of Massachusetts
Chan Medical School.
Shreya believes strongly in LCMC’s mission to provide excellent medical care to everyone
in Louisiana. She is grateful to have made a home in New Orleans, which reminds her
of her bustling, vibrant hometown in India.
