Bio
Hai Tran is a board-certified physician in pulmonary & critical care medicine at LSU
Health Sciences Center New Orleans. He earned his medical degree from LSU Health Sciences
Center New Orleans in 2018 where also he also went on to complete his residency in
internal medicine in 2021, followed by fellowship in pulmonary & critical care medicine
in 2024. He joined the LSU faculty in 2024. Dr. Tran specializes in the care of patients
with pulmonary hypertension (PH) with a clinical interest in CTEPH and sarcoidosis
at the comprehensive pulmonary hypertension center (CPHC) located at University Medical
Center New Orleans (UMCNO). He also provides specialized care in the diagnosis and
staging of lung cancer with navigational bronchoscopy and endobronchial ultrasound
(EBUS) bronchoscopy. Dr. Tran also participates in the training of students, residents,
and fellows in both inpatient and outpatient settings in pulmonary medicine and the
medical intensive care unit. He actively participates in clinical trials and scientific
research in PH.
