Bio
Dr. Mihran Naljayan is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine in the Section of Nephrology and Hypertension at LSU School of Medicine. He completed medical school at LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport, LA and subsequently completed Internal Medicine residency and Nephrology fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA, a teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. After joining the faculty at LSU, he has served as the co-course director for the L2 medical student renal course, nephrology fellowship program director and the interim section chief for nephrology and hypertension. He has also served as the Medical Director for the LSU Home Dialysis program, DaVita Memorial and DaVita Marigny dialysis units. Currently, he serves as Vice President of Clinical Affairs, Home Modalities at DaVita Kidney Care. He continues to see home dialysis patients and CKD patients in clinic. He is triple board certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology and Hypertension. He has also completed training in Interventional Nephrology and is a member of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology. He serves on the ASN Home Dialysis Subcommittee as well as the board of the National Kidney Foundation of Louisiana.
