Bio
After graduating from medical school in Lahore, Pakistan; I completed my Internal
Medicine training in Brooklyn, NY. After a clinical research fellowship in hepatitis/
hepatology in Philadelphia, PA, I continued my career in field of hospital medicine
taking care of patients, being involved in students and residents’ training in NY
state. Then life brought me to the south side of USA and I was fortunate to join LSU
Health Sciences Center, New Orleans for a clinical fellowship in Infectious Diseases.
Here I was able to see a wide variety of infectious diseases related cases. I was
involved in presentations, research projects, scholarly activities, antimicrobial
stewardship, infection control and COVID 19 pandemic era during training.
I joined as faculty at LSU HSC after completing my fellowship. I am interested in
general infectious diseases, hepatitis C, HIV and antimicrobial stewardship but specially
my focus is Musculoskeletal diseases, Skin and soft tissue diseases.
