Bio
Dr. Hudson is from Abbeville, Louisiana, a small farming town in the southwestern
part of the state. She lives in Old Metairie with her two daughters and their rescue
pittie, Nirvana. They love making nutella crepes on the weekend, painting, swimming,
visiting farmers' markets, and cooking. In her free time, Dr. Hudson is learning Spanish.
She loves to run and work in the yard. She has been active in community gardening
over the years and has dreams of creating an urban farm and teaching kitchen at the
hospital to benefit the patients, employees, and the community. She has worked hard
to develop an innovative virtual group platform to deliver critical weight management
programming including education and behavioral change tools that will serve thousands
in her weight loss clinic at no cost to patients. She is passionate about issues related
to access to care, food industry regulation, and the redesign of built environments
in hospitals specifically the food environments we create for patients and employees.
