Dr. Marilyn Marshall is the new Program Director for the Family Medicine Program in Lafayette.
She attended medical school at the University of Michigan and trained at the UASMS South Arkansas Family Medicine Residency Program. Prior to Dr. Marshall’s arrival to University Hospital and Clinics, she was on faculty at the South Arkansas Family Medicine Program where she was an Assistant Professor and the Program Director. When she moved to Louisiana, she became the Site Director for the Abbeville Community Health Center where she spent 14 years serving the members of that community. While in Abbeville, she became a preceptor for the Department of Family Medicine at University Hospital and Clinics and it was through this relationship that Dr. Marshall felt she could be a member of this team. Her clinical interests are in obesity and women’s health. Dr. Marshall enjoys traveling and reading.
