Each issue the GME Office recognizes the important work of coordinators across the School of Medicine and our Coordinator Spotlight highlights coordinators who give so much of their time and energy to the position. In this third Coordinator Spotlight we would like to recognize Kelly Allerton, Fellowship Coordinator, Pediatrics.
Name: Kelly Allerton
Position: Fellowship Coordinator
Department: Pediatrics
Years of Service: 5 years
What is the favorite part of your job? Working with physicians who have such vital roles in caring for the children of our community and the feeling that I am contributing somehow to their amazing work at Children’s Hospital. I am also grateful for the familial atmosphere of the pediatrics administrative team who make it easier to come to work every day.
What is the most challenging part of your job? Coordinating and juggling scheduling conflicts for 7 different programs’ PEC and CCC meetings each year.
Hobbies/Interests: Photography, yoga, reading, but honestly most of my time outside of work is spent keeping up with my boys Harry (age 5) and Finn (age 3).
