Maria Velez-Yanguas, MD, earned an MD from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology/Oncology, as well as a Pediatric Specialist at Children’s Hospital, where she serves as Fellowship Director of Hematology/Oncology.  Her research interests include brain tumors and acquired inhibitors (lupus type anticoagulants).
