Cruz Velasco-Gonzalez, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Research in the School of Public Health, with research interests that include biostatistics and survival analysis. He earned a BS in Agronomy from Chapingo University in Mexico in 1985, an MS in Applied Statistics from the Postgraduates College in 1988, and a PhD in Biostatistics from Tulane University in 2000.  Dr. Velasco-Gonzalez’s research includes performing statistical design and analysis for numerous cancer-related studies, including basic research, gene expression, and statistical genetics.
